Fine and Performing Arts

The Fine and Performing Arts area of study is designed for students who are passionate about creative expression and plan to transfer to a four-year institution in the arts. Through concentrations in Fine Arts, Music, and Theatre, students develop technical skill, artistic discipline, and creative insight while building a strong liberal arts foundation. Whether working in the studio, performing on stage, or studying the history and theory of artistic traditions, students refine their craft and prepare for continued study and professional pathways in the visual and performing arts.

Associate in Arts Degree

Fine and Performing Arts, Associate in Arts

Students are encouraged to choose a concentration to guide their studies and get on a pathway to transfer. A concentration is an advising structure used to help students focus their coursework within a broader degree program. Concentrations provide guidance toward a particular area of interest or intended transfer major and ensure students complete the appropriate prerequisite courses. A concentration is not a separate major or credential and will not appear on the diploma or transcript.
