Business Programs

The Business area of study offers both career-focused and transfer-oriented pathways to meet a range of student goals. Students seeking immediate workforce preparation may pursue the Associate in Applied Science (A.A.S.) in Business, a career-focused degree designed to develop practical skills in management, accounting, marketing, operations, and business technology. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in business, nonprofit, and government organizations, including positions such as bookkeeper, office manager, retail manager, banking associate, sales or marketing professional, or small business owner.

Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution may choose the Associate in Science (A.S.) in Business Administration, which provides a strong foundation in business principles while allowing students to select a concentration aligned with their intended major. Concentrations such as Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, Business Analytics, Health Administration, Supply Chain Management, and Sports Management guide course selection and ensure students complete appropriate prerequisites for upper-level study.

The area also includes stackable certificates that support skill development and career advancement, as well as advanced and continuous study opportunities through partnerships such as Stockton University 3+1 programs in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Marketing, and Esports Management.

Students are encouraged to choose a concentration to guide their studies and get on a pathway to transfer. A concentration is an advising structure used to help students focus their coursework within a broader degree program. Concentrations provide guidance toward a particular area of interest or intended transfer major and ensure students complete the appropriate prerequisite courses. A concentration is not a separate major or credential and will not appear on the diploma or transcript.
