Video Production, Certificate of Completion
Program Description
The Video Production Certificate of Completion is designed for students interested in developing practical skills in digital video creation and storytelling. This program provides hands-on experience in the planning, filming, and editing of video content for a variety of media platforms.
Students learn the fundamentals of video production, including camera operation, lighting, audio recording, editing techniques, and visual storytelling. Coursework emphasizes creative development, technical production skills, and collaborative project work using industry-standard tools and technologies.
This certificate can serve as a standalone credential for students interested in media production or as a complement to the Associate in Science in Media, Communication, and Design degree.
Transfer Information
The Video Production Certificate may complement the Associate in Science in Media, Communication, and Design degree, particularly for students pursuing the Media Production concentration. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution are encouraged to consult with faculty and Advising & Transfer Services to determine how coursework may support their academic and creative portfolio development.
Because many media production programs require portfolios or production reels for admission, students are encouraged to document and develop their creative work during the program.
