Testing Center
The Testing Center on the Main Campus in Toms River is temporarily located in rooms 144 and 142 of the Russell Building, No. 7 while the Library building renovations are being completed. Once that construction is complete, we will move back to our original location on the ground floor of the Library Building No. 3, Room 014.
The mission of the Testing Center is to provide a professional testing environment for all. We offer on-site and some remote testing for OCC and Kean students, Ocean County High School students and the community at large. The Testing Center offers the following:
- Make-up tests for OCC and Kean@Ocean with the approval of your instructors
- Accommodation tests in coordination with our Disability Services Department
- Accuplacer tests for English and mathematics for High School Graduation or college placement and Advanced Algebraic Functions(AAF) for placement into Pre-Calculus or Calculus
- TEAS – Pre-Nursing Test of Essential Academic Skills
- Music Theory Placement Test
- Technology Test-Out
- College Level Examination Program, known as the “CLEP” (to earn credit by exam)
- Praxis and Praxis Core
- Distance Learning Tests
- Certification and Licensure Tests
- High School Equivalency Testing--Our Testing Center is an official New Jersey Department of Education Jurisdictional Testing Site for those who wish to earn a NJ high school diploma
We typically offer testing from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 8:30AM - 7:30PM on Tuesdays. Scheduling and test availability are subject to change. Walk-in testing is available for paper/pencil tests, but appointments are required for all computer-based testing. Just type go.ocean.edu/test in the URL field to schedule your appointment.
